How to Create and Track Jobs in Epicor® ERP

Epicor® Job Entry and Job Tracker

Job tracking is a critical ERP functionality for manufacturers. By holding all the information on the materials, operations and assembles required to manufacturer a specific part, the ERP job manager helps users keep production processes in order. Epicor®’s Job Management module delivers comprehensive production control and innovative tools to maximize profitability and drive continuous improvement.

But in order to optimize your production performance, you’ll first need to know how to create and view jobs in Epicor® ERPUse our brief overview of the Epicor® Job Entry and Job Tracker to get started.

Create New Job

To create a new job, navigate to the Job Entry menu. There, you’ll click the down arrow next to the new button. Then, click New Job.

The New Job Number window will be displayed. You can enter your own New Job number or click Next Job to use the next number in the database.

Once you’ve assigned a number, a new record of the job will be created.

Track Jobs

The Job Tracker allows you to review or track information for each job. It shows the same information as Job Entry, but it will only let you view the data, not edit it. To review a job, enter or search for the job number. The following information will be displayed:
