Jim McKelvey, the co-founder of Square, explains his newly founded project LaunchCode. The ambitious project involves “pair-coding” where an experienced developer will guide and work with an up and coming coder.  McKelvey is seeking to address the IT talent gap in the region. Places like Houston, Boston, Seattle and Silicon Valley are known as top tech centers. McKelvey, a St. Louis native, has peaked interest in the local tech scene yet again.
